The National Monuments Service's description

On a gentle S-facing slope within the former demesne of Kilcornan House. Discovered between 1948-50 while digging for sand on the line of an old abandoned roadway (McCaffrey 1952, 31-2, no. 39b). Three cists were found, all appear to have been short cists. One was slab-built (L 0.66m; Wth 0.25m-0.38m), aligned SSE-NNW, with a single floor slab and roofed with a capstone. It contained the crouched skeleton of a youth and a vase. The second (L/Wth 0.46m) was built in a similar manner to the first but without a floor slab. It contained cremated bone. There are no details on the third but cremated bone and sherds of a vase are associated with it. Stray finds included cremated bone and a flint scrapper and the sherd of a possible vase (Waddell 1990, 94). No visible surface trace survives.
