The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture on the S-facing slope of a gentle valley, overlooking Lackanaloy Creek to the W. This partially levelled circular enclosure (int. diam. c. 25m), located in the NW corner of a field, is defined by a low curving bank of earth and stone from NE to WSW and it is best preserved at E (Wth 3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.6m); at S it is reduced to a scarp (H 2m) where the land falls in line with the natural slope in field. No visible trace of the bank survives from WSW to NE but a number of stones embedded in the ground may indicate its line. A gap (Wth 1.85m) at SSW may be original. Apart from some hawthorn trees on the bank, the monument is clear of overgrowth. A NNW-SSE field bank runs adjacent to it at W and there is a roadway immediately to its N. Some ground disturbance to its S, close to the field boundary, may be recent. The monument is visible on aerial imagery taken in 2005 (OSi digitalglobe). Its size and location suggest that it is probably a rath.
