The National Monuments Service's description

On the summit of a hillock in grassland. This well-preserved subcircular rath (58m E-W; 51m N-S) is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank and fosse are visible all round. The outer bank survives from N through E to W and is overlain by field walls from NE to E and from SW to W. A causewayed gap (Wth 5.8m) at S may mark the original entrance. Internal divisions, defined by grassed-over stony banks, are evident in the SW quadrant and E sector of the interior. (Holt 1912, 227; McCaffrey 1952, 120-21, no. 32; Killanin and Duignan 1967, 395)
