The National Monuments Service's description
On a hillock in grassland. Very poorly preserved subcircular enclosure (WNW-ESE 30m, SSW-NNE 26.6m) defined by a bank from WSW to NW, and elsewhere by a scarp. Modern outbuildings overlie the monument from N to NE, and a field bank runs from NNE to SSW through the interior. A ringfort (GA086-189----) lies c. 200m SE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
