The National Monuments Service's description

According to a member of the Redemptorist Order, a group of Dominican monks sought refuge in an area around Lough Nambraher around 1650. There they built a number of wooden buildings as well as a concealed causeway across the lake. No visible surface traces survive and the precise location is unknown.
