The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pastureland. This souterrain came to light in 2004 when the ground was being levelled in advance of the erection a steel shed to the SE of an existing house. During the course of the work, a narrow roof lintel was removed leaving a gap (L 1.4m; Wth 0.4m), which although inaccessible, enabled a visual inspection. It appeared that the souterrain ran c. 5m to the E from the gap, before turning sharply to the N. Drystone side-walling was visible under the roof lintels. Evidence of a children's burial ground (see GA084-139----) was revealed when the house was constructed in the late 1970s.
