The National Monuments Service's description
Within an early ecclesiastical enclosure (GA084-085003-). A roughly rectangular area (NE-SW < 24.8m, NW-SE < 9.5m) defined by a degraded scarp along SE, SW and NW sides, and by a field wall along NE side. Within the interior are a number of set stones indicating graves oriented NE-SW. Much of N sector is covered with rubble and boulders which obscure the grave-markers.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
