The National Monuments Service's description
This small inscribed tablet (Wth 0.34m; H 0.26m) is located in the N wall of the chancel in the fabric of the partially blocked-up westernmost surviving lancet window. It reads: 'PRAY FOR THE S|OVLE OF MATH|EW SEMPER W|HOSE SOVLE Y|E LORD RECEAVE| 1670' (Macalister 1913, 212, VII). (Bradley and Dunne 1992, 36)
