The National Monuments Service's description
Within the SE quadrant of an ecclesiastical enclosure (GA083-060003-) and immediately outside the SE wall of a graveyard (GA083-060002-). This deep well (10m WNW-ESE; 8.3m NNE-SSW; D 5m) is enclosed by a drystone wall. According to local tradition, it supplied water to a village that was located to the S of the enclosure.
