The National Monuments Service's description
On a natural rise in pastureland. A report dating from 1993 recorded it as a poorly preserved three storied rectangular tower house (L c. 6.5m, W 5.5m; GA083-054002-) incorporated into the N portion of a two-storied later house (GA083-054001-). Traces of a spiral staircase were visible at NW and traces of a pointed arch doorway, possibly the original entrance, survived in the SW wall. Numerous cut stone fragments from the tower house were incorporated into the later addition. Elements of the surrounding bawn wall (GA083-054003-) survived in the form of gun-loops in the property boundary some 28m to the E. Sections of the tower house, house and bawn were demolished in 1992 and the tower house was made subject to a preservation order in that year (no. 2 of 1992).
