The National Monuments Service's description

At S end of Loch an Mhuilinn on SW bank of river that flows from it into Cuan na hAirde. The site of a horizontal mill in use until about 1900. Demolished for stone to build nearby bridge but contemporary descriptions of it survive. A second mill — An Muileann Beag — also existed a short distance further upstream, the foundations of which still survive by a bend in the river. (Lucas 1953, 23; Robinson 1985, 36)
