The National Monuments Service's description
In flat pastureland within a moated site (GA074-027002-). In existence in 1574 when it was in the possession of 'Shane ne Moy' (Nolan 1901b, 110). The OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 534) note that 'the foundations only are now to be seen'. Apart from a series of banks, mounds and depressions, no visible surface trace survives.
