The National Monuments Service's description
Within an enclosure (GA073-073001-). In existence in 1574, when 'Done' castle was in the possession of 'Tege McMelaghlin OKelly' (Nolan 1901b, 120). The OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 625) record that 'no part of the walls is now standing'. No visible surface trace survives.
