The National Monuments Service's description
On gently sloping pakureland some 70m E of the Killaclogher River. The remains comprise a ruined gallery (L 2.4m, Wth 1.2m), aligned ENE-WSW, represented by three stones on N and two on S side which support a single roofstone. Although the monument cannot be classified with certainty, interpretation as a wedge-tomb would not be inconsistent with the present remains. (Claffey 1983, 154-6; Ó Nualláin 1989, 137)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
