The National Monuments Service's description
In marginal grassland. Very poorly preserved oval cashel (N-S 56m, E-W 47.5m) defined by a grassed-over drystone wall, except from N to E where a scarp forms the enclosing element. A NE-SW running drystone wall, centrally placed within the interior, may be an internal division. There is a cattle shed to NE of it. A field wall cuts the monument at N and S.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
