The National Monuments Service's description

In a small thorn thicket in level, rough pasture c. 110m ESE and slightly downslope from ‘Templebegnaneeve’ (GA068-005001-) an early Christian oratory. An earthfast granite boulder, trapezoidal in shape (L on N side 0.7m; L on E side 1.08m; L on S side 0.9m; L on W side 0.55m; H above present ground level 0.2m), contains a well-carved, circular basin (diam. 0.38m; D 0.18m) towards its narrower W end.
