The National Monuments Service's description

On a slight slope in rough scrub and pastureland to N of Drimneen River. Marked on 2nd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1899) as a small circular enclosure (D c. 15m). No visible surface trace survives. According to local information, it was a mass of overgrowth defined by a low stone wall before its removal in late 1970s. The hachured linear scarp shown on OS 6-inch map, immediately to SE, is a natural feature.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
