The National Monuments Service's description

On a SW-facing slope in grassland. On inspection in January 1985, this poorly preserved circular rath (D 52m) was defined by a denuded bank, overlain by a field boundary from WSW through N to NNE. Cultivation ridges were evident within the interior. The monument was levelled in the early 1990s during land-reclamation works and field boundaries extending off it to the NE, SW and NNW were also removed to enlarge the field. The ephemeral outline of the rath is still evident on the ground as a slight rise/cropmark. Its outline is clearly visible on current aerial imagery (MapGenie Imagery (2013-2018).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
