The National Monuments Service's description

In undulating pastureland sloping to the E. This almost circular rath (27m NE-SW; 26.5m NW-SE) is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. Both banks are heavily overgrown with hazel and hawthorn. The inner bank (Wth 2.1m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.8m) is best preserved from WSW to N. From N through E to S it is reduced to a scarp in places. A shallow depression (Wth 2.1-2.4m) indicates the line of the fosse from NNW to WSW. It has been filled in from WSW to NNW. The outer bank has been dug into in number of places between NNE and S. The remains of external stone-facing are visible from ESE to S. From S to WSW it has been incorporated into the curving townland boundary and it has been levelled from WSW to NNW, where its line is marked by a scarp (H 0.8m). It is best preserved from NNW to N (Wth 2.2m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 0.2m). A curving field boundary mirrors its line from N to NNE. Corresponding gaps in the banks (Wth 5.5m inner bank; Wth 4.5m outer bank) at ESE may mark the location of the original entrance. The townland boundary cuts across the interior of the rath from WSW to N. The area to its NW is overgrown with bramble. There is cattle-feeding pen to its SE.
