The National Monuments Service's description
On a slight rise. Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1932) as a circular enclosure (D c. 35m) with a field wall overlying E half of the enclosing element. Reclamation has removed all visible surface traces, apart from some variations in vegetation colour which differentiate the area of the monument from the surrounding land. The N sector of the interior has been quarried out.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
