The National Monuments Service's description
In level grassland falling steeply away to S. In existence in 1574 when it was occupied by 'Dermot Omanyn' (Nolan 1901b, 122). All that survives is a subrectangular foundation mound (L 10m, Wth 7m) around which large chunks of masonry are scattered. No architectural features are visible. A series of earthen banks surround the monument. (Claffey 1983, 150)
