The National Monuments Service's description

In grassland close to SW limits of a field system (GA057-164----). Poorly preserved almost circular cashel (D 25m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall completely obscured by overgrowth from N through E to SE. A D-shaped structure of stone (L 2.9m, Wth 2.4m) abuts the inner face of the cashel wall at SSW; possibly a house. An enclosure (GA057-132----) lies 100m to SW. (ASGAP 384:30, 32)

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
