The National Monuments Service's description
On a slight rise in an area of rock outcrop close to S extremity of an extensive field system (GA057-067001-). A poorly preserved roughly circular area (D 7.1m) defined by a grassed-over collapsed stone wall. Possible external wall-facing survives at W. A rubble-filled pit (D 1.3m) in W sector may originally have been stone-lined, and there is a D-shaped hollow (L 1.8m Wth 1.5m) in N sector. A plantation bawn (GA057-067002-) lies c. 100m to NE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
