The National Monuments Service's description

On an E-facing slope in grassland. Known locally as 'Lisheen' and said to contain a CBG (GA057-029001-). This poorly preserved subcircular cashel (E-W 38.2m) (GA057-029----) is defined by a collapsed drystone wall from NNE through S to WNW, and elsewhere by a scarp. Radiating from the cashel wall at NW is a curving bank of earth and stone (L 26m); possibly associated. Within S half of interior is a circular structure (D 3.4m) defined by a grassed-over stone wall; probably a house (GA057-029002-).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
