The National Monuments Service's description
On the summit of a low hill in scrubland. Poorly preserved circular cashel (D 20.5m) defined from N through E to SW by a drystone wall now reduced to a substantial spread of rubble. From SW through W to N, a field wall forms the enclosing element, whilst another cuts the monument at NW and SE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
