The National Monuments Service's description
On a ridge in grassland close to E shore of Lough Corrib. A poorly preserved and overgrown rectangular church (E-W; L 14.1m, Wth 5.15m), only the lower courses or foundations of which survive. Two parallel walls lines are visible at E end, c. 1.75m apart, the outer one possibly indicating buttressing or a second gable line. Apart from a robbed doorway near W end of S side-wall, no architectural features are visible. A CBG (GA056-070002-) surrounds the church. (O'Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 271)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
