The National Monuments Service's description
On a slight rise in undulating grassland. Marked on OS Fair Plan as a circular area defined by a broken line, but on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map it appears as a roughly triangular area defined by a solid line. What survives is a very poorly preserved subcircular enclosure (N-S 30m, E-W 27m) defined by a low scarp (H 0.5m max.). A CBG (GA055-023001-) is associated.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
