The National Monuments Service's description

On SW slopes of a hill. Poorly preserved subcircular cashel (E-W 25m; N-S 23.2m) defined by a much-collapsed drystone wall, overlain from S to WSW by a modern field wall. There is a souterrain in the interior (GA054-014002-) and also a local tradition of a CBG (GA054-014001-).

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
