The National Monuments Service's description

During the course of the excavation of two burials (see GA049-030----) that were exposed along the shoreline following a series of winter storms in 2014, an occupation layer/midden was noted beneath them. It consisted of burnt areas, post-holes and pits – some of which appeared to contain shells, fish, bird and animal bones (information from the National Museum of Ireland, February 2016).
