The National Monuments Service's description
Associated with an ecclesiastical enclosure (GA044-090001-). Named 'Burial Ground' on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map but by the time of 3rd ed. (1932) the words 'Site of' are appended and a cross-symbol is shown centrally within the ecclesiastical enclosure. No visible surface trace of any burials survives.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
