Hillfort

The National Monuments Service's description

On a S-facing spur of a hill. This large oval hillfort (195m N-S; 150m E-W), which is obscured by trees, is defined by an overgrown and moss-covered wall (Wth c. 11m; ext. H 1.5m; int. H 1.5m max.) of dump construction consisting of limestone boulders and stones. Sections of the enclosing wall have been removed at E, where there is a modern gateway, and at SSW (L 30m). The original entrance is not evident but it may have been in either of the sections that have been removed. The interior slopes from N to S and is largely under grass but the NW sector is stony and tree covered.
