The National Monuments Service's description
Some 30m S of a ringfort (GA042-167001-), in a small hollow close to the td. boundary. An unenclosed linear area (NNW-SSE; L 14.6m, Wth 6.9m) containing numerous small set stones, perhaps indicating graves orientated E-W. A large uninscribed stone pillar (H 1m) stands at E edge of the area, flanked of either side by short stretches of a low drystone wall. Possibly a CBG.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
