The National Monuments Service's description
Near the summit of Knockmaa, c. 18m to the SE of Finvarra's Castle (GA042-064001-). This is a tall plain 20th-century limestone cross inserted into a rectangular limestone plinth. It is dedicated to the memory of Denis Kirwan Bernard (1882-1956). The immediate vicinity of the cross is heavily overgrown with scrub, thorn and briars.
