The National Monuments Service's description
In rough pasture c. 27m S of the Dúinín road, between it and Loch Doire Mhicín. It consists of a rectangular grave (L 3m, Wth 1.2m) outlined by small stones and aligned E-W. Said locally to be the grave of 'the man the curate shot', linking it with the story of Fr Myles Prendergast shooting the spy who was tracking him when he was on the run after the 1798 Rebellion (info. T. Robinson). Not visited.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
