The National Monuments Service's description
On NW-facing slope in marshy land. A stream runs from a spring immediately to W. This well consists of a circular depression (D 2.7m) overgrown with trees and surrounded by a collapsed stone-built enclosure. A number of religious objects are strewn about it. (O'Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 229-30)
