The National Monuments Service's description
In low-lying grassland. Very poorly preserved subcircular enclosure (N-S 85m, E-W 60m) defined by a scarp and a possible external fosse from S through W to N. The curving td. boundary wall appears to define the limits of E half of the monument but no visible surface trace survives in this sector. This monument also extends on to OS sheet No. 32 (GA032-014----).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
