The National Monuments Service's description
On a prominent rise, is otherwise level grassland. An almost square dilapidated mortared limestone pier (L 2.3m, Wth 2.13m, H 2.27m) on a plinth. The N, E and S faces contain inscribed plaques. Only E example (now displaced) is legible and is dedicated to a member of the Birmingham family and dated 1685.
