The National Monuments Service's description

On a rise defending a shallow valley, in pastureland overlooking boggy terrain to S. According to local information, a castle which stood here was dismantled in the 19th C. Material from it was used to build the nearby chapel and barracks in Barnaderg village. No visible surface trace survives.
