The National Monuments Service's description

On a hill summit in rolling grassland. Poorly preserved circular enclosure (D 28.5m) defined by a degraded scarp from SE through W to NE. A field wall overlies the enclosing element from NE through E to SE. Within SE quadrant of the interior are two mounds of earth and stone (average D c. 2.1m), another lies just outside E limits of the monument.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
