The National Monuments Service's description
On a NE-facing slope in pastureland. A very poorly preserved quadrangular enclosure (WNW-ESE >47.6m, N-S >13.7m) defined along its N and E sides by a scarp (H 0.6m). No visible surface trace of the enclosing element survives along S and W sides where modern field walls and a laneway delimit it. Another earthwork (GA029-150----) lay 100m to S.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
