The National Monuments Service's description
Close to the summit of a ridgeflanked by an extensive tract of bogland and the RiverClare to the S. Subcircular rath (N-S 38.7m, E-W36m), in fair condition, defined by a low bank andexternal fosse. A scarp forms the enclosing elementfrom NW through N to ENE. A causeway at SE, though modern, could have given original access.
