The National Monuments Service's description
In level reclaimed grassland. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a roofed T-shaped building straddling a stream. All that survives is a section of the millrace, sluice gate and, on N bank of the stream, a small D-shaped enclosure (E-W 9m, N-S 7.9m) defined by a mortared limestone wall.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
