The National Monuments Service's description
On the summit of a hill in gently rolling grassland. Very poorly preserved almost circular cashel (D c. 40m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall from SW through W to N; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element. A field bank cuts the monument at SW and NW. Incorporated into the wall at NNW is a small circular depression (D 2m), possibly the remains of a hut. A CBG (GA028-046001-) is associated.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
