The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered in 1943 in the course of removing sand from a sandpit in Clonteen Bog. It consisted of a rectangular cist (L 0.55m, Wth 0.3m, H 0.3m) composed of four upright slabs and a capstone. Contained within it were the cremated bones of one adult, a flint knife and a plano-convex knife of chert (Costello 1944a, 96-9; 1944b, 228; Waddell 1975, 15; 1990, 92-3).
