The National Monuments Service's description

In undulating pastureland. Marked on the 1st edition of OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (D c. 35m). Today, a denuded scarp is visible from SSE to W but no visible surface trace survives elsewhere. A berm running just outside the scarp could indicate the former existence of a fosse. The monument is cut by a field wall at NE and SSE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
