The National Monuments Service's description

In an area of bogland in the Connemara National Park and on the W bank of the Mweelin River. This pre-bog field wall (L 13.5m min.), consisting of a line of boulders (max. H 0.5m), is aligned E-W. It was exposed as a result of turf-cutting and some turf still overlies several of the boulders. An enclosure (GA023-048----) that may be associated, lies c. 30m to the SE on the opposite bank of the river. This monument was brought to the attention of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland by Helen Riekstiņš.
