The National Monuments Service's description
In cutaway bog on S-facing slope of a prominent peat-covered drumlin ridge. Short discontinuous stretches of a pre-bog wall (L 35m) run N-S up on to the summit of the ridge. Built of granite and schist orthostats. The wall ends in a scatter of loose stones, conceivably the remains of a small stone structure. Possible negative lynchets are visible in the cutaway bog to either side of the wall.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
