The National Monuments Service's description

On S shore of Streamstown Bay almost directly opposite Doon Castle on N shore (GA022-032----). A very poorly preserved church (E-W; L 13.3m, Wth 5.10m). Only short lengths of N and S walls survive above foundation course while E gable, in which OS Letters show a doorway, is totally gone. No architectural details are visible but it is probably of late 17th- or early 18th-C date. Located within a graveyard which also contains a fine cross slab (Higgins 1987, vol. II, 345). (Killanin 1954, 96; O'Flanagan 1927a, Vol. 3, 87-8)

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
