The National Monuments Service's description
In the sand-dunes S of the mouth of Kingstown Bay. An extensive area of exposed midden material eroding out of a shallow horizon, 0.3m in depth beneath the present ground surface. It is composed of burnt stone, oyster, winkle and limpet shells (info. M. Gibbons). A Viking burial (GA022-038----) is known from within the midden area. Not visited.
