The National Monuments Service's description
On level ground in largely cutaway bog at the mouth of Glen Valley. Two discontinuous stretches of wall orientated E-W and NE-SW extend over an area 100m square. Both walls are rubble-built (Wth 1.4m, H 0.3m). A low mound of field stones (D 1.5m, H 0.3m), possibly a clearance cairn, adjoins them at E.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
